Welcome back. I hope you all had a relaxing break, as I did. The students seem happy and motivated to be back and ready to finish off the school year. Relay for Life will take place on Friday, March 25. Students may wear their Relay shirts or purple shirts Tuesday-Friday 3/22-3/25. Students must wear their uniform shorts with their purple shirts.

Fluency -Good readers vary their reading rate when they need to. They slow down to pronounce unfamiliar words and speed up when they recognize words. Good readers work to increase their reading speed and still understand what they are reading.

Lesson 1 - Pre-Unit Assessment: Getting Ready for Caterpillars. The students look forward to the arrival of the caterpillars and express in words and drawings what they already know about caterpillars and butterflies for evaluation.
