May 2-6

Here is our week at a glance. There is lots happening in the month of May as we finish off the school year. We have two more weeks left of Current Events and then we will share poems to coincide with our poetry unit.

Please join your child on Wednesday, May 18th as he/she shares his/her digital portfolio highlighting writing, projects, and accomplishments from the second grade year. Sharing sessions are offered in the morning from 8:15-9:00 or afternoon from 1:45-2:30. I have sent home a note about this today and ask that you let me know what session works best for you.

Splash Day will take place on May 18th (with a rain make up date on May 25th). Our second grade field trip to MOSI is on Friday, May 2oth.

Have a wonderful week and Happy Mother's Day.

It is so cold in Antarctica that the snow does not melt. The snow builds up in layers of ice. The ice covers nearly all of the land. This is known as the Antarctic ice sheet.
