March 19-23

Welcome back. It sounds like the students had terrific times on Spring Break, as I did with my family. We all needed time to rest and relax, ready to finish off the school year.

Ident-a-kid will be here on Wednesday, March 21 in the Student Center. By now you would have received an order form (if you are interested in participating). I am holding order forms in the classroom, therefore the last day for ordering will be this Wednesday.

Current Events starts up again this week, with Emma and Caden presenting on Tuesday, Zara and Cian on Wednesday, Luke and Lizzie on Thursday, Genesis and Maverick on Friday.

Our Parent Reader on Friday will be Mrs. Peters. Parent Reader begins at 8:15am.

Second Grade will visit the Dali Museum on Tuesday, April 10th. We will be leaving school at 11:00am and having lunch at the museum. Please be on the lookout for the Sage Sack Lunch Order Form that is being sent home today, that needs to be filled in and returned by this Thursday. This form needs to be filled in even if your child will be bringing in lunch from home.

Relay for Life will have a Kick-off-ALL-SCHOOL Assembly on the track/football field on Friday, March 30 from 8:45-9:30. Teachers and students may wear their Relay shirts or purple shirts Monday-Friday (3/26-3/30). Students must wear their uniform shorts with their purple shirt.

The 2nd Annual Paper Links is a fund raising opportunity to help out school's Relay for Life. Students will be allowed to donate to our Relay for Life once a day starting March 1st and ending March 28th, in return for a paper strip. I am attaching the new strips to the class paper chain in our room. These paper chains will be placed around the track on the day of Relay, to be seen by the entire school at the opening ceremonies.

Celebrate the Arts week takes place April 16-20. The Celebrate the Arts Teach-In will be on Friday, April 20th from 8:10-11:00. More information will come as the date approaches.
