March 26-30

A Big G'Day from me to you. Welcome to another week of school.

Second Grade will visit the Dali Museum on Tuesday, April 10th. We will be leaving school at 10:30am and having lunch at the museum. No chaperones are needed for this trip, but you are welcome to meet us there if you would like. The cost is 18.25. We will be having lunch outside the museum and our tour is at 12:00.

Relay for Life will have a Kick-off-ALL-SCHOOL Assembly on the track/football field on Friday, March 30 from 8:45-9:30. Teachers and students may wear their Relay shirts or purple shirts Monday-Friday (3/26-3/30). Students must wear their uniform shorts with their purple shirt.

The 2nd Annual Paper Links is a fund raising opportunity to help out school's Relay for Life. Students will be allowed to donate to our Relay for Life once a day starting March 1st and ending March 28th, in return for a paper strip. I am attaching the new strips to the class paper chain in our room. These paper chains will be placed around the track on the day of Relay, to be seen by the entire school at the opening ceremonies.

Celebrate the Arts week takes place April 16-20. The Celebrate the Arts Teach-In will be on Friday, April 20th from 8:10-11:00. More information will come as the date approaches.

Another field trip is organized for the month of April and I am sending home another Sage Lunch Order Form this week (as I did for our field trip to the Dali Museum). Second Grade will visit the Fine Arts Museum in St. Petersburg on Wednesday, April 25th. We will be having lunch near the museum and explore the Egyptian exhibit. More details will follow soon as the time approaches.

The is no Current Events this week and our Parent Reader is Mrs. Crupi. Library check out is on Tuesday, so do remind your child to return their library books to school on time.
